PROGRAMME AIMS AND FEATURES

The BBA(IBGM) programme is an interdisciplinary programme in international business and global management. The programme includes: an overseas exchange, an international field trip/internship, and a global analysis team project partnering HKU students with other students abroad. This programme is unique in Hong Kong, as it integrates two major disciplines: business & economics and social sciences. It forms a single, structured and coherent programme of study for both international business and global management.

Overseas exchange, field trips and internships in America, Asia, Australia or Europe are also built into the curriculum. The aim is to enable students to further develop global perspectives that they gain from their academic studies by exposing them to real-world business environments.

The programme is an intensive programme with activities spanning both the summers of Years 1 and 2. Students are required to complete 180 credits within the three years of study. The programme is designed as a structured and coherent interdisciplinary programme with progressively more demanding requirements in the later years.

CAREER PROSPECTS

With substantial international business elements plus social sciences components in areas areas that includes politics and public administration, psychology, sociology, and law; this programme aims at educating a group of highly motivated students to become future global business leaders and equip them with the key business knowledge and skills to deal confidently with broad issues in an international environment.
