Li Ki Kwong MBBS Year 1
The University has given support and care for EAS students to ensure our smooth adaptation to university life. The Faculty of Medicine arranged a summer broadening course for us to make sure that we would be well prepared before we started our study. The scholarship provided by the University particularly helped me a lot, sparing me from the need to worry about financial difficulties.
The learning mode and atmosphere in the University (medical school) are very different from secondary school. Instead of frequently taking quizzes, tests and examinations, we have more freedom in utilising our time and planning our extra-curricular activities. For myself, I enjoy this freedom as I don't have to study under too much stress in the first semester. I have applied for a few sports and language programmes and I believe active participation in these activities would bring us a more meaningful U life.
