Luk Sheung Kan BSc (Actuarial Science) Year 1
I think EAS is a great opportunity for able students. After joining the University through the scheme, I become more mature and independent. Through the camp organised for EAS students in the summer, I made a lot of friends and learnt a lot from them.
Upon admission to HKU, scholarships were awarded to EASers. The scholarships were not only a recognition of our academic achievements, but also encouraged us to study hard in the University.
For my U life, I find that lecturers take special care of us. They often ask if we can follow the lectures. My non-EAS classmates are nice too! We study together and spend our free time together, and I enjoy very much our time together. Also, the wide range of club activities and talks given by well-known scholars and celebrities have made a strong impression on me. So I really find that life in HKU is both exuberant and meaningful.
