Eligibility

Secondary Six students in local schools will be eligible to apply if they obtained in 2003 HKCEE

  1. at least 6As in one sitting;
  2. Grade C or above in Chinese Language (or French or Putonghua, for those who did not sit on the usual Chinese Language examination in HKCEE); and
  3. Grade C or above in English Language (Syllabus B) (or Grade A in Syllabus A, but this Grade A should not be counted for the purpose of (a) above).

Applicants may refer to the Programme Information for the programmes offered at the undergraduate level.


Application

Application to the Early Admissions Scheme (EAS) should be made through the JUPAS EAS website during February 9-19, 2004.


Activities Day and Interviews

All eligible applicants will be invited to our "Activities Day" on Saturday, March 20, 2004 and will be introduced to our programmes, facilities and activities. They will at the same time have opportunities to share experience with our teachers and students. Detailed information will be announced later.

Interviews will be held on the same day. There may be a second round of interviews in the cases of some programmes during the week following the "Activities Day" which will be scheduled outside normal school hours; and applicants invited to such interviews will be notified by the Faculties concerned.


Special Arrangement of Studies

The University will make best efforts to ensure students admitted under this scheme will enjoy full university life and benefit from their studies. Special programmes will be arranged by the Programmes and Faculties, including the following:

  1. Pre-admission programmes
  2. Summer courses
  3. Special internal mentorship (personal tutor) scheme
  4. Student exchange scheme (HKU Worldwide)
  5. Enhanced opportunities for students to participate in research projects
  6. Young Leader Scholarship Scheme
