Bioinformatics is an essential part of the research efforts of many of the University's biological and biomedical workers. In response to the growing needs of these workers, the Bioinformatics Resource of the University of Hong Kong has been formed. BRUHK's main roles are:

• To provide assisted access to the main bioinformatics software and data resources.
• To foster research and collaboration in bioinformatics.
• To support the establishment of bioinformatics education programmes.
