    • 08-Apr-03: As the University has further suspended all formal teaching classes to 13 April 2003, the regular lectures in the week 7-12 April 2003 will be cancelled. In order to reduce the impact on the students' study, they are asked to continue their learning/study at home/hall/library during the suspension period. Procedures to facilitate their learning and communication can be found in the relevant course websites.

    • 29-Mar-03: Due to class suspension in the University from 29 March to 6 April 2003, the regular lectures in this period will be cancelled and the upcoming lectures of the following courses are rearranged as in their respective teaching schedules.

    • 26-Mar-03: 2003 Mainland-Hong Kong Joint Symposium: Nomination for Competitive Student Research Project Award [PDF]
      • Both ME and BSE students can take part in the competition, by preparing a 10-page research paper based on their project work done (either group or individual) in final year projects, design projects or inter-disciplinary BS design projects. The proposed topics and paper shall be sent to the BSE teachers for final assessment and selection. The submission deadline is 2 May 2003.

    • 25-Mar-03: Engineering Society and Engineering Alumni Association Loan Fund (deadline: 25 April 2003)
      • Applications are invited from Engineering students who are in financial need for loans from the Engineering Society and Engineering Alumni Association Loan Fund to subsidize their training programme at universities in China in the summer of 2003. Students who wish to apply for the loan should obtain application forms from the Office of Student Affairs, 4/F, Meng Wah
