HKU-BNU Memorandum of Collaboration signed in Sichuan on July 27, 2008
The Catastrophe Management Initiative (CMI) partnership that was to be established between HKU and the Beijing Normal University (BNU) has very swiftly become a reality, as two institutions signed a Memorandum of Collaboration (MOC) on July 27, 2008 in Chengdu, Sichuan Province . (more)
During the trip to Sichuan, the HKU delegation had a chance to visit some of the quake affected areas where we met relief workers and affected people. (Click here for photos) The experience further reinforced our belief that we should and can contribute to building knowledge-based catastrophe management.
