Strengthening the Mentorship Tradition

True Professions: Mentor Sandy Fok (BSocSc 1988) of Swire Pacific Trading and mentee Albert Lee (Business, Year 2) crooned the popular tune "I Swear" as part of the evening's performances.

Many of the mentors of the HKU Mentorship Programme are proud University alumni. At the Commencement Dinner on Friday, January 22, 1999 at the Convention and Exhibition Centre, they, their mentees and University representatives from various faculties and departments, turned out in a show of support for the Programme. In all, some 700 guests made for a lively and unusual evening for mentors and mentees to get to know each other.

Vice-Chancellor Y C Cheng and other University representatives shared in the fun during the Dinner.	Long on talent: These medical students have aspirations and artistic ability as they demonstrated during a sing-along that included the Faculty of Medicine's 80-year-old theme song which expresses their commitment to society and to their fellow man.
