Friends of HKU Summer Exchange Scholarship 
Introduction
Friends of HKU has set up a scholarship fund of US$8,000 to encourage children of HKU alumni, who are citizens or residents of the United States, to participate in the summer programs organized by HKU.
A maximum of four scholarships of US$1,000 each will be awarded to subsidize the course fee and expenses incurred by the successful candidates’ participation in the HKU Summer Programs 2012.
Eligibility
Applicants for this Scholarship must meet the following criteria:
- Currently studying in Grade 11 or Grade 12 in a high school in the United States, or undertaking an undergraduate program in a college/university in the United States;
- A strong academic record as evidenced by a GPA of 3.50 or other academic achievement such as, but not limited to, being on the honor roll or dean's list, and/or academic prizes, successful participation in research projects or publication of research papers;
- At least one of the applicant's parents must be a citizen or resident of the United States; and
- At least one of the applicant's parents must be an HKU alumnus/alumna.
