The "Young Leaders of Tomorrow" Community Leaders Scholarship Scheme is open to first-year undergraduate students who have demonstrated excellence and leadership potential through active participation of arts, sports and/or other extra-curricular activities, community service, or assumption of responsible positions during secondary school years.

This Scholarship Scheme was first launched in 1998 as the Young Leaders of Tomorrow Scholarship Programme. With the support of the Home Affairs Department, 90 local community leaders contributed to set up an endowment fund in support of the scholarship during the University’s 90 th Anniversary Celebrations in 2001.

Since the launch of the Scholarship in 1998, over 500 Young Leaders have been selected.
