Applications are invited for admission in September 1999 to the Bachelor of Education (part-time) programme.

In addition to satisfying the University entrance requirements, applicants should normally hold a professional qualification for teaching awarded on the basis of full-time post-secondary study of not less than two years or equivalent qualification and should have at least two years of full-time teaching experience.

The curriculum extends over four academic years of part-time study. It provides an opportunity for in-service non-graduate teachers to upgrade their professional skills and knowledge to graduate level.

The fields of study to be offered in 1999 are:

	Children with Learning Difficulties
	Primary/Secondary Education (Mathematics)
	Physical Education and Sports Science

Application forms and information on the programmes may be obtained in person at the Academic Services Enquiry Office, Room UG-05, Upper Ground Floor, Knowles Building, or the Education Faculty Office, Room 219, Knowles Building, The University of Hong Kong. Postal requests should include a self-stamped ($8.20) envelope of 31 cm x 23 cm. The completed application form should be submitted to the Academic Services Enquiry Office, Room UG-05, Upper Ground Floor, Knowles Building, The University of Hong Kong by not later than March 27, 1999 ^***. * On withdrawal from the University, the balance of a student’s caution money shall be set off against the graduation fee or, if the student is not graduating, be returned to the student.
