HKUMAA 10th Anniversary Dinner

To commemorate the establishment of HKUMAA a decade ago, an 10th Anniversary Dinner was held at Loke Yew Hall on July 11, 2010. In addition to a keynote speech by guest of honour Dr Leong Che Hung¡]±ç´¼ÂE¡^, HKU Council Chairman, the celebration featured a magic show by Dr Cheng Po Chi¡]¾GÄ_´¼¡^, singing by Dr York Chow¡]©P¤@À®¡^and Dr David Fang¡]¤è¬z¥Í¡^, as well as alumni sharing by Dr Ip Yan Ming¡]¸­®¦©ú¡^, Dr Chung Pui Hong¡]Áé¨K±d¡^and Dr Raymond Li¡]§õ©¯«·¡^.The event met with an overwhelming response, bringing together over 300 members from different graduation years and providing an excellent opportunity to strengthen ties and share memories with alumni and friends from different generations.[more]

Magical Encounter: Qin & Tea

On May 15, 2010, the Association held a unique cultural event at Lock Cha Tea House in the Hong Kong Park which attracted about 60 alumni, their families and friends. The event comprised an introduction and Gu Qin recitals by former Hospital Chief Executive of United Christian Hospital Dr Chun-yan Tse (MBBS 1973), followed by a tea talk and demonstration by Honorary Clinical Assistant Professor of HKU Department of Medicine Dr Wayne Hu (son of our late medical alumnus, Dr Hu Shih Chang (MBBS 1952)). In addition to gaining a better understanding on the history and background of these two important elements in the traditional Chinese culture, participants also enjoyed the music, the freshly brewed Chinese tea and a variety of vegetarian dim-sums............ Alumni Chamber


The Alumni Chamber is located on 7/F, William M.W. Mong Block, Faculty of Medicine Building on Sassoon Road. It has a net area of about 120 m2, providing a convenient meeting place for private functions, such as class reunions. [more]

Membership

We offer Ordinary and Life
Membership. Subscription fee for new graduates would be waived for the first 3 years after graduation. For alumni reside overseas, only an entrance fee would apply with the annual subscription fee waived. [more]
