The series, held in China, has attracted an international
cast of speakers, who lecture on cutting-edge intellectual
issues, engage in critical self-reflection, and encourage
new research directions. These lectures, which are
related to our research programs, expose both scholars and
graduate students to a range of academic traditions.
To encourage bonding among the students, small
subsidies for travel and accommodations are made available
with particular preference given to those from other
regions of China. It is to be noted though, that the number
is modest, averaging 5-10 awards for each lecture tour.
