The annual Rayson Huang
Lecture features an outstanding international scholar, composer,
or performer who remains in residence at the Department of
Music for one to two weeks. Besides presenting a public
lecture or concert in the Rayson Huang Theatre, the visitor
also participates in the Department's research and teaching
activities, such as conducting workshops, giving classes,
and meeting with postgraduate students.
This year's Rayson Huang Fellow will be Laurence Dreyfus,
eminent Bach scholar and performer who is currently University
Lecturer and Fellow of Magdalen College, University of Oxford.
He will be in residence from 26 March to 5 April 2012, and
will present the annual Rayson Huang Lecture at
6:00pm on Tuesday 3 April 2012 in the Rayson Huang Theatre.
He will also give a colloquium at 5:00pm on Wednesday 28 March 2012 and a
performance workshop at 2:00pm on Friday 30 March 2012.
