Portuguese at HKU
Portuguese language courses are available for both students of the university (degree and certificate - see A below) and members of the public (non-degree - see B below). The courses are organized by the Language Centre with support from the Camoes Institute, through it's Asian arm, the Portuguese Institute of the Orient, and the Consulate-General of Portugal.
A) For university students
Degree courses open to undergraduates in the Faculty of Arts, Faculty of Business and Economics and are offered as inter-faculty electives.
Certificate courses are open to undergraduates of all faculties.
B) For members of the public
Evening Courses, (two classes per week) run from September to June, are offered at three levels, and are open to all non-university students.
