HKU Task Force
on SARS
The aim of the Task Force is to promote and
protect the health of University members in relation to SARS
by:
- Preventing
the spread of SARS on the campus by setting policies and
guidelines, and by closely coordinating all related services
/ user departments
- Managing
SARS cases within the campus through prompt contact tracing,
isolation of close contacts, disinfection of the affected
areas and informing the University community
- Reinforcing
education concerning the prevention of SARS among University
members
- Providing
up-to-date local and international information on SARS via
internet
- Giving
suggestions for forward contingency planning for the University
on SARS issues
