A Task Force was set up soon after a suspected SARS case involving a postgraduate student in the Department of Zoology was reported on March 21, 2003.

The Task Force has been meeting regularly to draw up guidelines and protocols for students, staff and heads of departments to follow so that precautions can be taken against possible further cases, and a series of standard procedures adopted in such an event. Internal Announcements are either posted through intranet, email and / or this Webpage to release the latest information on the University's measures to deal with this matter on campus.
