Brief Biography

Ka Ho Mok is Associate Dean and Professor at the Faculty of Social Sciences , University of Hong Kong. Before he joins the University of Hong Kong, he was a Chair Professor in East Asian Studies and the Founding Director of the Centre for East Asian Studies at the University of Bristol. He also served as Associate Dean of Faculty of Humanities and Social Science at City University of Hong Kong before taking up the position at the University of Bristol. Ka Ho had his undergraduate education in Hong Kong and he got his higher degrees from Chinese University of Hong Kong and London School of Economics and Political Science, University of London. Ka Ho is a founding editor of Journal of Asian Public Policy and Comparative Development and Policy in Asia Book Series (published by London: Routledge, Taylor & Francis Group).

Research

Ka Ho has been researc hing on comparative policy and governance , with particular reference to development and education governance change in East Asia . In addition, he has also researched on social developments and social policy in contemporary China . He has published extensively in the fields of comparative education policy, governance and public administration and social development in contemporary China and East Asia .
